Joseph, I do same as you and say ICAO Mike two zero zero. But I would NEVER say similar to a Bonanza! Almost as bad as saying similar to a Cirrus! Yuk!
On long cross countries switching service areas ATC does morph me into a Mooney as per Ed on occasion. I do take exception with THAT as well, but just motor on along and respond back with emphasis on MEYERS in my replies. Sometimes they correct themselves, most don’t. As they watch me on the scope they’re saying to themselves “whoa, that is one bad ass Mooney”…
