ParticipantHi folks. I’m Joel Wilkins and am looking for a fast traveling machine with long legs for trips from either TX or TN to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico a few times a year for me and the missus. (We haven’t decided where to retire just yet.) No other passengers. I’ve heard good things about the 200 and joined the site to glean some information from real owners.
Looking at google maps I’m thinking an 800 mile range will give a safe reserve to the first Customs airport in Texas, either Laredo or Presidio, depending on where we’re based.
I’ve never seen one up close much less ridden in one so feel free to give me the ins and outs of the airplane. I’m In Gainesville, VA, outside DC, so if there’s an owner up this way who’d like to show his or her airplane let me know. I’d love to see one up close.
thanks much!

ParticipantJoel-great post and you are thinking correctly! A 200 is a perfect 2 person cross country machine.
I am a little over an hour south of you at KLHZ in NC and own a C model. I would be happy to let us connect and let you see one up close. Let me know and I can PM you.
Best-

Participantthank you, Ed. I will definitely plan on coming down…at Cessna speeds, it will more likely be 2 hours…:)

ParticipantThanks Andy! I’m near HEF, JYO, OKV, CJR, HWY, IAD, FDK airports. These are on the west side of DC. There are more airports in MD, east of DC. I’ll meet you anywhere its convenient. Thanks again!
