I’ve been wondering about the recent Fly In at SEZ. There has been no follow up from the last update in June or July. In another post Ashley mentioned it and something about next year’s being in TX. We have been anxiously awaiting some details about it, wondering if other folks had any trouble or stories about getting there and what everyone ended up doing and discussing. I imagine that Ross or someone is working on an article or some notice to present, but wondered about a forum item for it…

I searched this site trying to find forum discussions regarding our gatherings. Not really covered, thought what if someone has questions about or wants to know the next gathering in his area, where can he find it? Thought this may be a good topic for some follow up or some future planning discussions.

Personally, many things jumped out in front of us halting our attendance at Sedona. From the many fires and horrible visibility enroute, wife needing tested for COVID prior to it, elders’ sickness etc. made us drop out this year. We’re just curious, actually envious about the event, who made it, how it all went, where we meet next..

Hey-anyone out there that can fill Chris and the rest of us in?

Most frustrating. The Twin Cessna and Bonanza sites put us to shame.

Good afternoon Chris. Karen and I were unable to make Sedona due to Hurricane Laura direct hit. Both planes damaged, OTW extensive 200 will just end up with a new paint job.

The folks that did attend voted for Fredircksburg, TX and the Hangar Hotel as the 2021 fly in destination. Steve Freeman couldn’t run away fast enough/is too polite so he was saddled with being the host. Details will follow as quickly as possible.

Many of us are disappointed at not going to see Heinrik as was planned for 2021, but he has told Karen that COVD will likely be an issue even THAT far out in the future. We’ll hopefully get the all clear to see them in Iceland in 2022.

I’ll gather some more info and post. Karen is waiting on posting a newsletter until some information comes in from the attendees. She’s not pushed them as we received a SECOND direct hit hurricane known as Delta. Two major storms in less than six weeks. We’re tired.

OMG, yes that’s so sad about the hurricanes. And sorry to hear of the Meyers’ damages. I’m sure there are many other more pressing and important issues there than our airplanes. Best of luck in recovering from that terrible weather onslaught.
Thanks though, for some information about the recent goings on. It is always fun and stimulating to hear of our family of owners getting together and what they are discussing and contemplating. I’ll look forward to some further info about the gathering and see what comes up on the horizon.

    Happy Flying!
