    Here is an interesting article from the AOPA newsletter. It was buried way at the bottom and you may have missed it. They are questioning a go/no go with an inoperative rotating beacon; even if strobe is operational and came up with a no go decision. My beacon is GONE. Removed decades ago. In fact, I’ve not seen too many of our planes at the flyins that still have their rotating beacon. Legal to fly with it removed, just not legal to fly if it is still in place, but inoperative?     I replaced mine with a whelen LED beacon after it when belly up. it was Waaay brighter. :/

    I reached out to Joan and asked her if she had any rudder caps to replace the strobes if they were removed and she did not. Any idea on how to get one fabricated? I know I saw a couple at the 13 fly in in Tecumseh. I bet a number of folks would be interested in a cap if we would get them fabricated.

    The ones that I know about all seemed to have the original cap cut down and re-glassed.
