It seems that our parts source for instrument panel shock mounts has gone out of business. http://www.Jay-Tex.com is no longer an active website and nobody answers their phone.
Here’s the information on the part number:
Part# 156PL13 NSN 5340-00-200-5959If anyone has any suggestions on where to find them, please let me know so that I can update our…[Read more]

I just replaced the fiber glass seat bottoms for my rear seats. I purchased the new seat bottoms in December through Marv Rogge. He did have molds at that time but was concidering passing them on to some one else.

I had a recurring problem with the bracket that clasps the throttle cable at the back of the engine. The bracket is bolted to the intake manifold with a wire saftied screw which goes through a bushing. This arrangement allows a small amount of movement by the bracket. My problem was a loss of throttle control during taxi for takeoff. The screw…[Read more]

After talking with Jim I bought one of these radios and installed it in my Ryan PT-22. The radio works great and the built in intercom is the best I have used in an open cockpit airplane.

My 200 has a IO 520 engine. I normally cruise with fuel setting LOP. I have a EDM 700 installed so I can see exactly when I reach peak and GAMI plugs installed so all cylinders peak close to the same tempratures. I think this equipment is important for lean of peak operation. I continue to adjust lean of peak until I fell rougness in the…[Read more]

Richard E Russell replied to the topic Reasonable Crosswind Limitations for an OTW on pavement? in the forum Airframe – Meyers OTW 8 years ago
All: Regarding OTW landings, grass, hard surface runways and crosswinds – FAA certification of Part 23 (OTW were certified under CAR 4, the previous certification standard before FAR Part 23) is 15 mph ‘demonstrated cross wind’. Factory test pilots are required to certify all Part 23 airplanes to 15 mph crosswinds, therefore, it then depends upon…[Read more]

@oliverwallace : are you interested in my airplane?

Hi Richard,
Yes I am!
I’m interested in purchasing a Meyers OTW in early December should I get a place on the Vintage Air Rally 2018 which is by no means a certainty, but I am planning on an optimistic basis!
We get notified on the 1st December and so if successful then I would be looking to purchase one in December of this year. I would also…[Read more]
