Thank you for your interest in our amazing planes, Larry! I’ll bump your request up the chain to get the word out to everyone. You’ll get some great stories.

Sedona is ON Hans! I hope to see you again this year. You’re becoming more of a regular than some of the owners, so you NEED to bite the bullet and buy one of these great planes. Mr. Lyon’s Red Menace was just added to the for sale section of the website…

The post for the fly in is making its rounds for edits and should go live tomorrow.

Welcome Andy. I took am glad that Flip’s plane is in good hands. I hope that you can make it to Sedona to meet some of your new family in September.

Your trim indicator needle should have full travel up and down the full range of the dial. I do this occasionally just to make sure it stays limbered up. It is very minimal travel with each twist,…[Read more]

Hello Mark! Hope to see you in Sedona, buddy. If Tommy T. Didn’t fix you up MAOA’s own President Mr. Ross Warner has everything that you need. He did a good deed and bought a huge stash of all types of placarding form a former owner’s estate (can’t remember the details) who’d had them printed up. All great/original quality.

    Hey Dan,

Work on Jamon Pruitt. Think he’s going. Only question would be ability to take 3 with AZ density altitude in September…

I am one of the newest to the OTW’s. Sir John Lyons that posted above is one of the most venerable, having owned an OTW and a 200 for many years. His suggestion about the Betzold family is perfect. Many would probably like to see Fred, Dan or Linda’s response, so please post back here. The three of them are members. Ashley Wade started the topic Turn & Bank Service in the forum Avionics – Meyers OTW 5 years, 7 months ago

OTW #40 has an A-11 military type turn and bank in each of the cockpits, one of which is inop. There is a port on the side for oil. Does this oil ever require servicing? I could not find a maintenance manual for the instrument online. Wondering if I can resurrect the inop and also keep the functional one going.

    Thanks Meyers brain trust,

    Ashley

Ashley Wade replied to the topic Actuator Seals in the forum Hydraulic System – Meyers 200 5 years, 7 months ago

Hey Tom! Hope all is well at Honeapath. My A&P did the same as Ed’s and it has worked flawlessly for 4 years. The prior owner and I were plagued by our step. At one point before I purchased the plane the step actuator was disconnected and the door sealed up. That A&P recommended that it not be repaired. I bought the plane with the step inop.…[Read more]

Congratulations on the OTW restoration. My wife has 1941. I believe it’s the original config and instruments and I can send you a picture of it. First, let’s wait for Mike Barg or Jim Jones to chime in. They will definitely be able to help. If they are tied up and do not respond soon I’ll reach out to them for you.

    Best,

Ashley Wade replied to the topic 200 Air Oil Separator (AOS) FINALLY!!!!! in the forum Engine – Meyers 200 5 years, 8 months ago

    Aloha Bruce!

You are running into the same problem that hung me up for several years. All of our planes are actually already on the AML for the Air/Oil Separator. As mentioned, several members provided me with copies of their 337s, but my IA is… um…, well… “finicky” (not the adjective I would use if we were together) about such things.…[Read more]

    Hello Greg,

Dave Smith is nearly your height and drives a chop top A model. Fits great. I don’t know if he did anything to the seat rails. He doesn’t do too much computer stuff, so contact him offline at davesf17@yahoo.com.

Take Mark Jensen up on his offer to sit in his plane. It’s gorgeous and for sale. Just be advised that if you sit in…[Read more]

Perhaps Kenny Oliver with Global Parts could help you out? Global is the type certificate holder and he has many of the drawings electronically recreated into CAD system.
