I’ll post an update on my install. I had a set of other work done at the time, so I don’t recall the cost of the work done specifically for the autopilot.
I previous had a century 2000 with integrated electric trim, and century altitude pre-select.
While the system was functional, I considered it a bit mickey mouse. When tuned properly, it…[Read more]

I probably should have considered this a lot sooner, but we’d like to get a sense for who will be attending the Fly-in this year in Carson City to facilitate some last minute planning that is going on. In this

In the recent post card mailing, we listed both hertz and enterprise, along with contact numbers.
Today I tried to use the provided numbers and couldn’t actually get either of the two numbers to actually let me

My A&P has decided to retire from complex aircraft annuals. So, I need to find a new one. I live in Ocala, FL and was wondering if anyone knew of one fairly close by with a knowledge of Meyers. I will be needing all new fuel lines, as the original ones are still installed on the aircraft. An extensive (expensive) annual was performed last year.

Checked up on the AD I said is coming out, and I cannot find anything on it. So for now disregard. Apparently the information given to me from a mechanic in KAPA does not check out. Sorry for the misinformation, not good on my behalf. Apologies.

New AD calls for removal of the teflon gasket at the base of the F&M adapter to be replaced with a crushed seal gasket. Also adapter must be torqued to 65 ft. lbs. every twelve hrs. I searched the FAA site fir the AD but it has not been posted yet. I followed the ad procedure and twelve hours later the top of the adapter had already began to seep…[Read more]

Ad is coming on the IO-520 with the F&M oil filter adaptor on April 04,2022. Make sure all follow instructions and torque properly. Ours started leaking on a rebuild right out of the shop improperly torqued. Follow maintenance procedures and Fly Safe.

Hello All, Good news for me and Carl Richards. Finally picked up N200D from Burley ,Idaho after 1 year and 5 month repair and compliance work for the modification done in 1987 without the proper paperwork. I worked very hard on the paperwork and research end to gain acceptance. The aircraft is now legal. If interested check out flight aware for…[Read more]

Don,
To the best of my knowledge, Meyers 200 do not have electric trim. The GFC500 can be installed without an electric trim. When the system senses trim is required, a message comes on the screen… “Trim up” or “Trim Down”, and the pilot has to manually adjust.
Regarding cost, or price, it is expensive. Each owner needs to determine if an…[Read more]

@dep196m Ed, spoke with Dave Smith and he removed the clip from a strut he had in storage. Thank the airplane gods for Dave ! Dont really have a part number though it seems to be a standard beveled layer clip.
