I have purchases the E. It is like an IKEA kit. My D model should arrive in Georgia in mid January. I think we can get the D flying in about a week.
The E will take 500-600 man hours ( i hope) The D will then become surplus.
All i plan to do now with the D is put an Aspen pro max to drive the century 2000 autopilot and an Uavonix tail beacon.
I will in at about 130,000. There other things that can be done if anyone is interested in buying the plane after the E is flying.
The time to do it will be during reassembly. The plan was to IRAN THE cylinders and port and polish. That would add about 4000 bucks. With electroair ignition it should be able to produce over 300hp. Lycon says 320.
I have a gfc5000 autopilot ordered, that can be put in with a G5 to drive it for mid 20k , would not need the Aspen then and the 2000 would have some value.
I would hope to have the E flying by march or April.
