I have adjusted the half turns slightly to get the pitch contlol pressure I like for take off and initial climb.

Prior to take off, my partner would rotate the elevator trim nob full nose down and then back eight half turns. I have recently had the elevator trim reworked and adjusted according to specks. I typically fly a little slower than most, but 100 mph on DW, 90 mph on base, and crossing the fence (just short of threshold at 85 mph works fine for me. The OTW manual contains drawings of how the panels were originally laid out, complete with placards. Most panels have been modified over the years, some beyond recognition! I can supply a manual or pics of my panel if that would help.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply. I really appreciate the details and I will get on it right away. Also, I am not an A&P or IA; in fact I am still working on the “righty tighty, lefty, loosey” thing. I plan to install at the next annual.
