Prior to take off, my partner would rotate the elevator trim nob full nose down and then back eight half turns. I have recently had the elevator trim reworked and adjusted according to specks. I now rotate full nose down and then back four half turns for take off. This adjustes the gauge where it should be for take off and is a little more…[Read more]

Hi Ed,
I typically fly a little slower than most, but 100 mph on DW, 90 mph on base, and crossing the fence (just short of threshold at 85 mph works fine for me. I carry a little bit of power into the flare, and roll it off as the nose comes up. You don’t want to try to flare at 80 mph without any throttle, as it will sink through to a c…[Read more]

Robert,
I do have the part numbers and quantities required and multiple extra seals since I was sent a duplicate order. However, I am currently on an extended work trip and do not have access to my data or parts at this time. If you are able to wait until mid-March, I will send you a complete set of seals (or just the part numbers) at no cost.…[Read more]

Jim Jones replied to the topic Original OTW insturment panel layout in the forum Avionics – Meyers OTW 5 years, 8 months ago
The OTW manual contains drawings of how the panels were originally laid out, complete with placards. Most panels have been modified over the years, some beyond recognition! I can supply a manual or pics of my panel if that would help.

Ashley,
Wow, thanks for the quick reply. I really appreciate the details and I will get on it right away. Also, I am not an A&P or IA; in fact I am still working on the “righty tighty, lefty, loosey” thing. I plan to install at the next annual.
Aloha,

Ashley,
I have been talking to Airwolf and been unable to get any information relative to the air oil separator STC for the Meyers. I remember at OSH you mentioned you had a similar problem and finally got the answer. Any information you can provide would be great. My conversations with the AW folks seem to indicate they have no idea about the…[Read more] -
