You might contact Jamon Pruitt. He also owns a Meyers 145, N34375. I’ll bet he’ll have an answer for you. Additionally, http://knisleyexhaust.com/ should be able to repair your exhaust system.

If anyone has any old pictures of any Meyers aircraft, or Meyers Fly-Ins, please share them with me. We’re working on creating a complete library of photos of every Meyers aircraft ever built.

There’s a Meyers 200 owner in Red Hook, NY. Is that close enough?

If you tell me where what part of the country you live, I’ll happily make an introduction to an owner near you. They probably won’t sell you their plane, but I’m sure they won’t mind giving you a ride to see for yourself what they’re like.

Hey Trym,
There’s really no contest. And, I’m not just being biased. The Meyers 200 is faster, safer and more fun to fly than the Bonanza. The Meyers 200 is going to be at least 15 knots faster with the same engine. It’s also the only high performance/complex airplane that has no airworthiness directives on the airframe and the only one that has…[Read more] -

Hi Kenny,
Glad to hear that you’re interested in these great planes! There aren’t many downsides to a Meyers 200. The question of whether it’s right for you basically depends on your typical mission. The Meyers 200 is best suited to long cross country travel and it’s extremely reliable and efficient in that role. And when I say cross country, I…[Read more]

Were you able to resolve the elevator trim issues? If not I may have some suggestions on who to talk to about troubleshooting.

Hi Barry. What’s the problem and are you talking about the Elevator Trim? If it’s just really stiff, the easiest solution is to lube the control, starting at the cable right behind the panel. Start with SeaFoam DeepCreep and then use LPS spray.
If you’re talking about the Aileron Trim then it may be just the spring. that need replacing. They’re…[Read more]

I’m working on an updated version of the Meyers 200 Maintenance Manual and one thing we seem to be missing is an electrical system schematic. Does anyone have a copy of this?

The A’s and B’s originally came with an IO-470 and had a lower VNE. In order to upgrade them to an IO-520a or IO-550f, there are stringers that need to be added to the empennage. And, once the additions are made, the VNE is increased to 236 mph. There are quite a few A and B owners who’ve upgraded their planes to both the IO-520a and IO-550f and…[Read more]

That’s very troubling about Cee Bailey. I bought windows and windshields from them only a few years ago and didn’t have any issues.
As for the rear windows, be sure they know that you have a D model as even those windows are different than in the A’s and B’s.
Find out what the tooling costs will be and perhaps we can spread those costs over…[Read more]

What would you like to know about N5511M? It doesn’t seem to have any accident reports on the NTSB website. And, that’s really all I know about that particular Meyers 200.
I can offer advice and suggestions on the general information about the 200. Just ask.

Fellow Meyers 200 owner Steve Bauman has been researching the past of all of the Meyers 200s and there are a few tail numbers for which he has a photo and nothing else. Specifically, he’s looking for any information on N1888E which was also once N670E.
Additionally, I’ve been working on our master aircraft database and I’d love to be able to…[Read more]
