The fiberglass on my left rear seat bottom where the hardware screws in has failed and cracked all to pieces rendering it unsuitable to accept the mounting hardware. One option is to have it re-glassed and hopefully reinforced. Any of you dealt with this before and is there another option?

John, on another matter-can you take a picture of the vent and post you mentioned on the hat shelf?
Much obliged.

Thomas, I replaced all except windshield in 2012 and also used Cee Bailey’s. We have heard they have been hard to get of late, but Mark is right, that’s the place to start.
Assume the crack has been stop-drilled for now?

Excellent! Not easy getting stuff approved for these old girls so glad you got it done.

Mark-did you get this approved? I ended up doing an 830 and left the analogs in place on 196M

Matt-I have not seen one. My interior was just out and the vents to the back are fed through the front and are fabric bags that are in the side panels and connected to the vents. The front vents are scat tubes. my rear are just ‘ok’, and that may be to insulation I added when i had the interior done that may impeded the bags fully inflating.

Thanks for this John. Sounds like a good summer project after I get by bird back with a new engine.

Frank-not sure my first message went through. D model has flush rivets ob the wings. The IO 550 is accomplished through the STC or a field approved 337. I am thinking there was some empennage beef up on the C/D…? Hopefully someone can confirm.
Best-
Ed

Dean and other 200 owners-do we have access to a maintenance manual like the one Keith would have used to do his annuals?

Dean, will it take contact cement, or does the seal ‘snap’ or roll into place? I need to replace mine as well.
