I’m not familiar with a noise certificate being issued for the M200, but Marv Rogge had to complete noise testing when he installed the IO-550 with a 2 bladed prop on his aircraft. He or Steve Bauman may be able to answer if a “stock” certificate exists.

Sounds like your elevator trim is now correctly rigged. It should require 4 half turns (2 full turns) from full nose down to set at take-off position.

I typically fly a little slower than most, but 100 mph on DW, 90 mph on base, and crossing the fence (just short of threshold at 85 mph works fine for me. I found an eCopy of the parts manual in my files and it lists the part numbers/sizes of the seals for all of the actuators except the step actuator. Does anyone have information on the step actuator?

It’s time to replace all of the O-rings/seals in all five of my hydraulic actuators. Unfortunately, my Parts Manual and CD are not readily available. The airplane can be very tight for someone who is 6-8. My 6-9 friend can’t fit in either seat, but he has long legs that won’t fit under the dash or around the controls. Also, the gear handle is very close to my right knee (I’m 6-0) and may be an issue if you have long legs. I’ve heard there are those who modified the seat rail mounts…[Read more]
