Let me know if you need to find new Springs for the shock struts for both the main and tail landing gear. I have a source for both the Springs and the seals.

The space behind the rear instrument panel severely limits the choices for panel mounted radios that can be installed in the OTW. However, I found a radio that fits beautifully and works very well. It is the Trig TY91. It has flip flop freqs and a built-in intercom. It also has a memory and can be interfaced with certain GPS units. I mounted the…[Read more]

I use Sta-plex Extreme Pressure Premium Red Grease on the rocker arms of my Warner 145. The melting point of this grease is around 525F so it doesn’t melt and run away during operation. I’ve used it for nearly 450 hours with no problems. The book says to grease the rockers every 25 hours. Even though the greases we use today are better than they…[Read more]

It has been found over the years that the OTW does have a weak spot in the fuselage. Granted, to discover this weak point takes a very very hard landing before it will show up. This weak spot is between the bulk head immediately behind the rear seat and extends to the next rib which is immediately behind the luggage compartment. The best way to…[Read more]

The wingtip lights that typically go on the OTW upper wingtips are the Grimes Model B lights available from Univair. They are PN A2430-2G-94 and A2430-2R-94.

Fellow Meyers OTW owner, Steve Freeman had a new trunnion bearing for the tailwheel created by a local machine shop. They used original drawings and converted it to a digital file so that a digital CNC machine could make them. He had 5 of them made at the same time so if anyone needs one, please contact him. He’ll happily sell one to you at cost.

You and Jamon Pruitt should definitely talk. He’s got the same schematics but hasn’t installed them yet. Did you make the switch?

You might contact Jamon Pruitt. He also owns a Meyers 145, N34375. I’ll bet he’ll have an answer for you. Additionally, http://knisleyexhaust.com/ should be able to repair your exhaust system.

If anyone has any old pictures of any Meyers aircraft, or Meyers Fly-Ins, please share them with me. We’re working on creating a complete library of photos of every Meyers aircraft ever built.

There’s a Meyers 200 owner in Red Hook, NY. Is that close enough?

If you tell me where what part of the country you live, I’ll happily make an introduction to an owner near you. They probably won’t sell you their plane, but I’m sure they won’t mind giving you a ride to see for yourself what they’re like.

Hey Trym,
There’s really no contest. And, I’m not just being biased. The Meyers 200 is faster, safer and more fun to fly than the Bonanza. The Meyers 200 is going to be at least 15 knots faster with the same engine. It’s also the only high performance/complex airplane that has no airworthiness directives on the airframe and the only one that has…[Read more] - Load More
