I have all 4 fuel tanks out of the plane at the moment. I could send you pictures with measurements if that would help you?

The straps that hold the tanks in place I just finished cleaning. I re-primed and installed new rubber strips on to them as well. I’m sure I could measure these too.

Tony, saw your post on the fuel sender. Did you find a new product or have the originals re-worked? I’m currently having the fuel tanks rebuilt but the fuel senders they are sending back to me as the company working on the tanks don’t touch the sender units.

Would you know if the autopilot disconnect switch must be incorporated into the wrap, or could a switch be added to the panel? That is if installing a new autopilot.

Thank you for clearing that up for me Ross.

I have started the restoration of N413KS, previously N427VV, and would like to maintain the original interior panel lighting operation if possible. We are installing 4 Garmin GI275 replacing the DG, AI, CDI, and an EIS. As these are backlit, this leaves only the airspeed, altitude, vertical speed, flap gauge, hydraulic gauge, and clock requiring lighting.
I wanted to reuse the original post lights as I prefer the light to LED strips or rings and I hoped to maintain the original 6 pack look and feel.

I find the dual operation and dimming capabilities of the original switch, more than adequate for my needs. That said, I’d like to add the 4 white lights under the glare shield that I’m missing.

Would you have a picture showing their location and type? I’d like to find the original lights if possible and have them installed.

Any information or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Ross, thank you for the explanation.
Forgive my ignorance, when you refer to the glare shield, is that the overhang of the dashboard?
If so, mine must have been recovered at some point because I don’t have any lights at that location.
I do have some post lights that are above the top row of instruments, but they are wired with the red lights. They sit above the instrument fasteners. Could these be the white lights perhaps changed at some point?
