    Thomas,

I’m not familiar with a noise certificate being issued for the M200, but Marv Rogge had to complete noise testing when he installed the IO-550 with a 2 bladed prop on his aircraft. He or Steve Bauman may be able to answer if a “stock” certificate exists.

    Mark,

Sounds like your elevator trim is now correctly rigged. It should require 4 half turns (2 full turns) from full nose down to set at take-off position.

It is with great sorrow that I report from California that Mr. Al Grouleff has passed away.  Al was a long time Meyers 200 owner.

I am one of the newest to the OTW’s. Sir John Lyons that posted above is one of the most venerable, having owned an OTW and a 200 for many years. His suggestion about the Betzold family is perfect. Many would probably like to see Fred, Dan or Linda’s response, so please post back here. The three of them are members. Hi Ed,

I typically fly a little slower than most, but 100 mph on DW, 90 mph on base, and crossing the fence (just short of threshold at 85 mph works fine for me. I carry a little bit of power into the flare, and roll it off as the nose comes up. You don’t want to try to flare at 80 mph without any throttle, as it will sink through to a c…[Read more]

It wouldn’t be difficult to install them. There’s a steel hoop that goes over you, right in between the two side windows. You’d just have to cut into your roof liner.

This AC provides guidance for substantiating parts or materials substitutions to maintain the safety of old or out-of-production GA aircraft, or other GA aircraft where the parts or materials are either difficult or impossible to obtain.
This AC applies to small aircraft type certificated before January 1, 1980,

Ashley Wade started the topic Turn & Bank Service in the forum Avionics – Meyers OTW 5 years, 10 months ago

OTW #40 has an A-11 military type turn and bank in each of the cockpits, one of which is inop. There is a port on the side for oil. Does this oil ever require servicing? I could not find a maintenance manual for the instrument online. Wondering if I can resurrect the inop and also keep the functional one going.

    Thanks Meyers brain trust,

Hey Tom! Hope all is well at Honeapath. My A&P did the same as Ed’s and it has worked flawlessly for 4 years. The prior owner and I were plagued by our step. At one point before I purchased the plane the step actuator was disconnected and the door sealed up. That A&P recommended that it not be repaired. I bought the plane with the step inop.…[Read more]

    Robert,

I do have the part numbers and quantities required and multiple extra seals since I was sent a duplicate order. However, I am currently on an extended work trip and do not have access to my data or parts at this time. If you are able to wait until mid-March, I will send you a complete set of seals (or just the part numbers) at no cost.…[Read more]
