Hello Greg,
Dave Smith is nearly your height and drives a chop top A model. Fits great. I don’t know if he did anything to the seat rails. He doesn’t do too much computer stuff, so contact him offline at davesf17@yahoo.com.
Take Mark Jensen up on his offer to sit in his plane. It’s gorgeous and for sale. Just be advised that if you sit in…[Read more]

Perhaps Kenny Oliver with Global Parts could help you out? Global is the type certificate holder and he has many of the drawings electronically recreated into CAD system.

Ashley Wade replied to the topic 200 Air Oil Separator (AOS) FINALLY!!!!! in the forum Engine – Meyers 200 6 years, 6 months ago
Hello Ed and Chris. The install looks great, but there is some type of issue. 5 hour flight to OSH this year deposited a whole quart on the belly. With the prior configuration of the little Garwin AOS coming off of the wet vane vacuum pump I would have had negligible oil loss, but was still really messy. This new configuration is way worse.…[Read more]

Guys, personal message to either Ross Warner who is our fearless leader (President, Owners Assoc), Mark Young who is our almost fearless leader (VP of Owners Assoc) or Kent Atchison fearless spender with world’s most expensive Meyers. All three have complete glass panels. No fear of non retro among this group.

Hello Dan. Sorry, I’ve not logged on in a while. Still recovering from all of the fun with the Meyers group at Osh a few weeks ago. You can email me questions (ashleybryabwade@icloud.com) about the trim system or I’ll keep an eye out here for any new posts. I have an A model with the hydraulic trim. EXTREMELY effective if the system is properly…[Read more]

The early Aero Commander 200D’s were essentially built by Meyers and have their original hydraulic aileron trim system. It’s complicated but Meyers built owners have solutions for maintaining them. Talk to Neslon Harding, Dave Smith or Ashley Wade about it. I’m sure they’ll have the answers you need.

Chris-I have not had any issues with the bushings. My IA found a bolt installed backwards that was casing the flap to bind when it extended but it was easily rectified. Do the bushings look like off the shelf? Perhaps Dave Smith or Nelson Harding can respond.

Hi Greg,
I did show my 200D to a interested person who is 6″6″ and I also fly with a neighbor who is 6″4″. neither had any problem with head or shoulder room. However, the first person had long legs which put his knees at the bottom of the yoke with the seat adjusted full back. I believe some owners have replaced their seats which, if coupled…[Read more]

Hello Greg, “mist” I can handle. Drips from belly strobe and tail tie down I can’t. My usage is not bad at all and motor has only about 100 hours after full Lycon rebuild. She drooled before rebuild, unfortunately she drools after.
I have the originallittle Garwin AOS off of my wet vane vacuum already. Now with the AirWolf AOS in tandem like…[Read more]

I hate to be a spoil sport, I have an oil separator on our 200 and on other aircraft we own / have owned , but you will still have to clean off a fine mist of oil from the belly of your 200. Enjoy rubbing down the grand old dame, she gives us hours and hours of pleasure!
