Hello Mark! Hope to see you in Sedona, buddy. If Tommy T. Didn’t fix you up MAOA’s own President Mr. Ross Warner has everything that you need. He did a good deed and bought a huge stash of all types of placarding form a former owner’s estate (can’t remember the details) who’d had them printed up. All great/original quality.

Hey Dan,
Work on Jamon Pruitt. Think he’s going. Only question would be ability to take 3 with AZ density altitude in September…

Windows that are thicker than standard are also heavier, which is likely why there’s an issue with the FAA.

Code 4, disregard my post – I have ‘particular’/thorough wrench and IA and that’s great – however, since I posted this, I’ve again realized, a tail boot for our OTW is rarely available. Although I do fly off grass, I just do a thorough pre-flight focused especially on the tail wheel area. It’s grear to have particular mechanics by the way!

Yes. We removed the tailwheel boots on “Fly Navy” to service the bearing and the rear suspension. I can trace if for you if you need me to.

Global made a presentation at last year’s fly-in in FL. They hired a market specialist to actively search for a buyer. Their plan was to keep all of the assets (TC, fixtures, parts, M400, and 2918T) together as a package sale. If they were not able to sell the entire package, Nin George said they would contact our Association prior to d…[Read more]

Mark,
I believe I have one in my stash of parts. I’ll check next trip to my hangar in a week or so. Do you need them for the mains as well? I’ll let you know what I find …
Have you asked Joan Diver about them?

Thomas,
I’m not familiar with a noise certificate being issued for the M200, but Marv Rogge had to complete noise testing when he installed the IO-550 with a 2 bladed prop on his aircraft. He or Steve Bauman may be able to answer if a “stock” certificate exists.

Mark,
Sounds like your elevator trim is now correctly rigged. It should require 4 half turns (2 full turns) from full nose down to set at take-off position.

One thing my mechanic did 3 years ago when I had a FWF done (including nose gear) was to mark on the trunion and nose gear the limits in red lines so as to know what the maximum turn was with the nose gear in a ground based device (ie, not jacked up)

Mark-I think you are correct. Only one I think is required is the trim warning on the panel? Perhaps one of our A&P/IA brothers (or sisters) will comment.

Mark and Hans-nice to hear from both of you. Mark-thank you for the tidbits. Very helpful. I just need o practice more IFR procedures, even if I do VFR.
Hans-I remember our flight well and I had heard that you went to the fly-in. I too wonder what the outcome will be on gatherings, large and small, until a vaccine comes along.
I just landed…[Read more]
