ParticipantTruTrack is almost ready to create the STC for our Meyers 200s! In order to gauge their popularity, they’ve asked me to inquire with all the owners to see how many people would be interested in buying an all-new digital autopilot for their plane.
The cost of the autopilot will be $5,000 and installation is said to take roughly 30 hours.
This modern digital autopilot includes.
Bank Angle Select (if no GPS signal)
Track Select
GPS Nav (Point to point type flight plans)
GPSS (Roll steering commands)
Vertical Speed Select
Altitude Hold
Altitude Select
Altitude Pre-Select
GPSV (LPV Approaches)
Control Wheel Steering
Emergency Level
AEP (Bank Angle Protection Mode)
Roll Servo
Pitch Servo
Install Kit
Wiring HarnessLet me know if you’re interested and I’ll add you to the list.
Thanks!
Dean

ParticipantThanks for the update Dean!
Please add me to your list.August 7, 2018 at 7:39 pm #1468Mark Young
ParticipantWhich autopilot specifically? and do we know if they will be able to communicate with a garmin system via the gad32e? if so, which what features enabled? I would love upgrade to an autopilot that supports the garmin altitude pre-select and/or vs select.
I would pretty much pay now on the promise of getting this at some point in the future. 😉

ParticipantThanks for the heads up Thomas!
Dean – thanks for the the note and I’d also be interested in this STC once I start updating the panel.

ParticipantCount me in too, Dean. Same payment plan as Mr. Young. I’d pay NOW for one to get it later if it helps prime the pump. I think that Pruitt, Atchison and Secord would also be in. Perhaps send a personal message to them.

ParticipantI’m very interested also Dean. I’d like to upgrade my entire panel one day, and an affordable a/p is a great motivator. I hope many others can get the interest high enough to make it happen!

ParticipantDean, I have MEYERS 145, N 34363, S/N 006, I know there are only a few of the original 22 built but I am an IA and willing to work with whom ever they have at TruTrack to try to get the Auto Pilot installed in the MEYERS 145 also. My current Avionics include a Garmin 430 w/WASS and after the first of the year I am replacing the Garmin 327 Transponder with a Stratus for he ADSB in and out, as well as I will be putting a JPI 830 and getting rid of the old instruments. If TruTrak is willing to work with me for an Autopilot I might install a Garmin 5 ADI and HSI also.
Thanks please let me know who to contact

ParticipantHi Dean, is there an update on the progress of this a/p situation? Due to ADSB situation, I am looking at the major panel u/g and would like to jam in an a/p if able at the same time! Thanks.

ParticipantHi Everyone. It looks like a good hit for the TruTrak A/P for us. 7 in just the first few months and I’ll bet at least another 10 – 20 more if we could get the word out to those that aren’t routinely on this site.
I wonder about the status, Dean, have you any information? Many folks are redoing panels these days due to the ADSB requirements, so many may consider this that may not normally do the upgrade…
Dean, in the list of capabilities for the a/p system, the most basic of all is not listed, Heading Hold/select I’m sure are a function as well, right?
Keep us posted, I believe many will bite on this chance!September 19, 2019 at 3:48 pm #1780Tom Thibodeau
ParticipantDean,
Where is TruTrak with regard to the M200 STC? They seem to be focused on the larger market share aircraft. I’m guessing the A36, V35, M20, and C210 will precede the M200 … It’s been over a year since they started this discussion and has any progress been made? Options to the older Century systems that can interface with the newer Garmin GPS units would be nice.

KeymasterGuys, Jamon Pruitt should have a better bead on this. He knows the owners of TruTrak and is co-located with them at the same field. He has been in many discussions with them about the Meyers and they are still not in a position to get us on the list yet. This was my understanding a few months ago. Jamon, what say ye?
