    Hi Dan,
    The Aero-Commander built D model has a different aileron trim system than the earlier Meyers built planes. Meyers versions are indeed hydraulic while the Commander built versions use a spring system which is underneath the front seats.

    I don’t know if S-Tec is certifying their 3100 autopilot in the same way that TruTrak and the other, newer autopilot companies are doing. If they are, I haven’t heard about it.
