Hi,
I’m currently in the process of having N236M repainted and the paint shop was asking me if I had any specs on balancing the control surfaces (this apparently is something commonly done after painting). Thanks for any input.

Congratulations on the OTW restoration. My wife has 1941. I believe it’s the original config and instruments and I can send you a picture of it. First, let’s wait for Mike Barg or Jim Jones to chime in. They will definitely be able to help. If they are tied up and do not respond soon I’ll reach out to them for you.

Wow, thanks for the quick reply. I really appreciate the details and I will get on it right away. Also, I am not an A&P or IA; in fact I am still working on the “righty tighty, lefty, loosey” thing. I plan to install at the next annual.

You are running into the same problem that hung me up for several years. All of our planes are actually already on the AML for the Air/Oil Separator. As mentioned, several members provided me with copies of their 337s, but my IA is… um…, well… “finicky” (not the adjective I would use if we were together) about such things.…[Read more]

I have been talking to Airwolf and been unable to get any information relative to the air oil separator STC for the Meyers. I remember at OSH you mentioned you had a similar problem and finally got the answer. Any information you can provide would be great. The ones that I know about all seemed to have the original cap cut down and re-glassed.

I found an eCopy of the parts manual in my files and it lists the part numbers/sizes of the seals for all of the actuators except the step actuator. Does anyone have information on the step actuator?
