I thnk i have a deal with Mike. Waiting to hear go from him. I had hoped for immediate gratification be pcause i am old. Plan to have LyCon do magic on the cylinser. The think the can get power comparable to a 550 for under 3 grand.

Yeah, I know the 200 is generally a great 2-seat plus luggage airplane, but maybe there’s an owner or two who’d share for a fair expense split. I am not a Meyers owner, but would like to be and am happy to cover half of expenses if anybody’s considering attending and is willing to share.

So sorry to see this. Your guardianship of that aircraft, during your tenure, was extraordinary. I always see N489C in my minds eye when I think of the story of the 200. So thankful no one was hurt. Hi Dennis, I recently flew a friend’s c310 with IFD540/440 and really liked them. They seem much more user friendly and so simple to operate. I was ready to jump on them when he had an issue and the avionics shop had to send his 540 back to FL somewhere. He waited many weeks for the repair and it was not inexpensive. No i have not. It is an H-35 , io-260n with GAMI, Electroair ignition, D’shannon xhausr and floor. About 1300 hr engine. I did a top IRAN as it had been sitting a while. Cylinders were ported and polished on exhaust.
Airframe about 6000 hrs, paint good , interior OK, glass good.

I found a higher time IO-550. Bought and a couple of overhauled cylinders.
Sending to Ly-con to do their magic. I have decided to bid more on N418 if i get it, i will determine which is the better airframe. I will put the 550 and MT propeller and sell the other with a serviceable spare engine. So standby, there will a bargan n a 200d soon.…[Read more]
