So assume he has bled the lines and checked the actuators and the brake pads and rotor? He might need to get it on jacks if he has not.

These are the original brakes not hydraulic. I have tried to keep the plane as original as possible.

      Thank you

Hello Paul. sorry for the delayed response. Been busy selling my company. I use the AC Air Technology remote control tracked tug. Works on concrete or on grass. Coolest thing ever. We have multiple planes and it moves all of them with no adjustment and it’s actually fun to reshuffle the hangar. Can hands free grab the Meyers 200, stuff it…[Read more]

Does anybody have the correct P/N for the Mitchell RPM tach to replace on a io520 in the M eyers? Mine starts fluttering and I need to order in advance.
My hydraulic pressure instruments shows wrong pressures although it is still sealed. Did anybody have it overhauled in the US? Where would you send it to?

    Thanks, Thomas

    Hi guys
The flight controls on the Meyers 200 do NOT need to be balanced when painted. They are controlled by push –pull rods. Aircraft that have control CABLES they are the ones that need to be balanced if painted.
    This from the FAA.

Also on ANOTHER change to the IO550-F engine is the 2 bladed prop on the IO520-A is 82 inches, the IO550-F engine requires a 2 bladed prop to be 84 inches.

Thomas-my F&M continues to leak and now the SB has turned into an AD. I am going to take one more shot at securing it and if it still leaks-probably go to an Airwolf.

    Best-

    Hi Ed,

I found the upper intake mount bracket broken on my plane. Caused some vibration. Fixed it but now we chase other problems, like a leaking F&M adapter and a leaking valve cover.

    Keep the spirit up.

HI from Germany, I have the same problem. No significant leakage but still a mess after flight.
We will try again and report.

@abryanwade Like Dean said you can lube it , I have lubed mine by removing side panel and airblowing lube thru cable back to the control box.

Joseph-exactly what happened to me. Should have left it alone as it was not leaking before we replaced the 2 gaskets.

I am going to try one more time and see what happens. And on to AW most likely if it leaks.

Checked up on the AD I said is coming out, and I cannot find anything on it. So for now disregard. Apparently the information given to me from a mechanic in KAPA does not check out. Sorry for the misinformation, not good on my behalf. Apologies.

New AD calls for removal of the teflon gasket at the base of the F&M adapter to be replaced with a crushed seal gasket. Also adapter must be torqued to 65 ft. lbs. every twelve hrs. I searched the FAA site fir the AD but it has not been posted yet. I followed the ad procedure and twelve hours later the top of the adapter had already began to seep…[Read more]
