Ok thanks Karen – anyone that can help me with N2943T – I have a new Certified Engines Unlimited engine with fresh paint from Hank at Southeastern Aircraft Painting , 530W, new panel and interior, TTAF 3423,

That is great news Rocky. And pics of the E to share? Does it include the turbo prop engine or are you going to have to source it?

I have purchases the E. It is like an IKEA kit. My D model should arrive in Georgia in mid January. I think we can get the D flying in about a week.
The E will take 500-600 man hours ( i hope) The D will then become surplus.
All i plan to do now with the D is put an Aspen pro max to drive the century 2000 autopilot and an Uavonix tail beacon.

Some thoughts given the age of the engine and my experience:

My C model had a 72 Factory reman IO-520. It crapped the bed 6 years ago with a lite case and non-VAR crankshaft-the most logical solution was a factory reman. Not sure what the 73 looks like but a R&R with a factory reman is probably $55-60K if not higher if you do a prop IRAN,…[Read more]

I have purchased an IO-550 for my yet to be delivered south african plane.
Thus i will have an 1100 or so 520a for sale with or without prop.
Engine has GAMI injectors and VAR crank.
Also will have some good avionics, garmin 430, engine monitor fuel flow guage. And a functioning century 2000autopilot,

They seem to think it is worth a lot more than i do. Was told the owner turned down 90k.
Meyers i think should bring more than bonanzas, but seemingly they do not.

If i buy it i will flynit.
My bet is it will not bring reserve.
50,000 is my top which would be 53,000 with commission. Maybe go to 55 including vig.
The plane cosmetically is in nice shape.
