In case you missed the announcement, our 2022 annual reunion and fly-in will take place this September 21-25 in Bentonville, Arkansas at Louise Thaden Field-KVBT. Our host hotel will be the Double Tree Suites by Hilton Hotel Bentonville. The booking link for online reservations is https://group.doubletree.com/7zy36q. Phone in reservations may be made directly with the hotel at 479-845-7770 with a code “MAO”. Our preferred rate will be available until August 20, 2022. After that date, the rate will revert to the “rack rate” subject to room availability. Ground transportation will not be provided by MAOA so, please plan accordingly.
Many changes and upgrades have taken place at this field since our last Meyers gathering at this location in 2017. Flying Magazine has featured KVBT recently as “the coolest airport in the country”! Our host, Jamon Pruitt, has planned a great schedule for our group that includes tours of the airport and facilities including historic aircraft and the Gamebird factory. A Friday fly out to Gaston’s White River Resort – 3M0 www.gastons.com will be an option for those who choose to attend. Our Saturday activities will include maintenance meetings for the 200’s and OTW’s in the morning and a “James Bond” casino night themed banquet for Saturday night.
