Gary-my step spit the bit again last year when it was in annual! If your A&P is pretty resourceful, I suggest you pull the step and get into the guts and look at the O rings. They are all in stock, you just need to make sure you source the right diameter. It might take some trial and error as I found out last year getting in his way…

N2976T is a gorgeous plane and the previous owner was gracious enough to show her to me and take me up for a demo. Sad I couldn’t stretch out to his asking, but happy for the new owner.

Ted-I agree with you assessment on price but as an owner I hope he gets it or close thereto! Pricing is crazy right now. I am seeing early 70’s Skylanes with 8K+ hours airframe selling for $150k PLUS!!

I know I reached out to every person who had a D model listed for sale in the US here on this site back in March and only one I believe was out of date and since removed. Can’t hurt to email, I’m still searching myself.

has anyone had the speed modification to the nose of their aircraft with a two bladed propeller? If so can you get in touch with me. Our meyers N200D is still stuck in Burley I.D. It seems that the speed mod with the three bladed propeller issued with STC 1241SO TC 3A18 is for a cessna 204 with a cont. 520A. Trying to get this all sorted out. I…[Read more]

Ed,
I’ve been told they may be rechromed without creating any issues. Please contact Ross Warner to see about finding new old stock parts. He may be able to point you to someone who knows where to find them if you decide to go that route.

Tom-I am getting some pitting on my main gear struts. Are there replacements parts or can they be rechromed?

Ray,
So very happy to hear the damage was minimal given your scenario. Thank you for the additional information. I’m guessing the strut extended slightly once the gear was in the well to force the tire against the bail and cause it to bind. A very unusual situation to be certain.
You did an excellent 2 wheel landing and had a great outcome.…[Read more]

Sorry to hear about your gear problem. My partner and I had a nose gear up landing which I also attributed to a problem with the strut. We bought the aircraft after an estate settlement and then had it down for about a year replacing the interior and glass. Because it sat for (?) years, it was difficult to service the strut to the proper…[Read more]

One additional tidbit…
A broken gear handle Uplock cable will be apparent because without the Uplock released, the gear UP red light will stay illuminated. Basically one red, two green would indicate the Uplock did not release on the gear indicating red. Instead of trying to find which cable to pull, raise the gear by putting the gear handle i…[Read more]

Ray,
So sorry to hear about your gear extension issues with 489C. As you are aware (but others may not be), your aircraft has a different gear indicating system than other M200s. 489C has a transit lights, where stock aircraft have UP (red) and DOWN (green) lights.
The Gear system of the M200 is quite simple: an engine driven hydraulic pump…[Read more]

Hi Dean.
Apologies as I just saw your last reply. The airplane is n5507m, Walt Bowe’s old plane. The logs are away from me right now but I believe the last (only) overhaul was 1978. Weve sent one oil sample off to Blackstone and they gave us some things to watch and get back to them. After I got signed off in it, I flew it about 40 hours in 5…[Read more] -

The issue is rather constant. Injector and line is clear. Baffling is in good condition, but #6 is in a bad spot. Taped the oil fill door. No effect. I will post some pictures.
Did some cross-country (10h in 3 days) in 90° weather because ofhttps://m.facebook.com/groups/stampesv4/
Thanks for the input.
