Thomas-If the baffling is tight and no other obstructions are there you might check the fuel injector for that cylinder. Might be clogged? If it is clean, I would borescope to make sure nothing is going on with the exhaust valve.
Let us know what you find. I normally see on hottest days CHT’s at 380 or so as you referenced.

Hi fellows,
Summer time has finally arrived and temperatures are increasing. My CHT on #6 is on takeoff getting to 420 degrees F despite going to 120 knots cruise climb. The other CHTs are 30-50 degrees F cooler. EGTS are about the same. Baffling is okay. Any ideas how to get this cylinder cooler?
Thanks,
Thomas..

Hi Dean,
Thank you for clearing that up for me. We’ve got a mid-time 520 with a long calender time since overhaul and are looking at our options.
Thanks again. -

Good day all. I am looking for information regarding which specific io550 is needed in order to convert a 200d. Ive found little bits of information here and there such as the conversion does not require an stc but is approved under a 337 but nothing definitive. If it is an stc, who holds it? I find the 337 idea hard to believe, but I’ve certainly…[Read more]

Update for posterity (and because, as a millennial, I depend on the internet to have such information indexed and available).
Spoke with Bob today, after disassembling an actuator and having a WTF moment- they are actually not sealed with O-rings, but a “Greene tweed ring” which is basically a non-rollable, shouldered O-ring with packings either…[Read more]

I am looking for O-ring/packing parts/rebuild kit for this too- today they didn’t pick up the phone, but I’ve sent an email! I’ll be happy to report back on what I hear in case it helps anyone else.

James,
Welcome to the Meyers website. You’ll quickly discover most Meyers owners are very proud of their aircraft. These machines are members of their families, and tend to stay with their caretakers for many years. We’ve cherished N2919T for 21 years, and acquired it from a gentleman and his wife who cared for it for nearly 30 years. The air…[Read more]

If you can get near RDU area in NC I would be delighted to show you a C model. Mostly like a D except does not have flush riveted leading edge.

This is funny, Stefano’s description describes me almost to a T. Except I live in Huntsville. Joseph, do you think I could take you up on that offer? I’m itching to see a Meyers 200 up close.
