Great commentary Ashley. I think one of the reasons why my A&P was successful first time (watch-now I will jinx myself) is he was a BIG go-to Bonanza guy here in NC. I am sure that probably factored in.
I am having a blast right now trying to trouble shoot a fuel flow problem on a 180 hours SFREMAN engine. Found fuel pump full of crap and…[Read more]

Hey Tom! Hope all is well at Honeapath. My A&P did the same as Ed’s and it has worked flawlessly for 4 years. The prior owner and I were plagued by our step. At one point before I purchased the plane the step actuator was disconnected and the door sealed up. That A&P recommended that it not be repaired. I bought the plane with the step inop.…[Read more]

Robert,
I do have the part numbers and quantities required and multiple extra seals since I was sent a duplicate order. However, I am currently on an extended work trip and do not have access to my data or parts at this time. If you are able to wait until mid-March, I will send you a complete set of seals (or just the part numbers) at no cost.…[Read more]

Good morning Jeff. Glad that you and Jim are communicating. He and Mike Barg own the Meyers Aircraft Restoration Services in Honeapath, NC. They even have the original factory OTW jigs at their facility. Barg own FIVE OTWs!! One in beautiful shape and the others in various conditions from bent to just a data plate. Jones has only one OTW,…[Read more]

The OTW manual contains drawings of how the panels were originally laid out, complete with placards. Most panels have been modified over the years, some beyond recognition! I can supply a manual or pics of my panel if that would help.

Congratulations on the OTW restoration. My wife has 1941. I believe it’s the original config and instruments and I can send you a picture of it. First, let’s wait for Mike Barg or Jim Jones to chime in. They will definitely be able to help. If they are tied up and do not respond soon I’ll reach out to them for you.
Best,
Ashley

Ashley Wade replied to the topic 200 Air Oil Separator (AOS) FINALLY!!!!! in the forum Engine – Meyers 200 5 years, 9 months ago
Aloha Bruce!
You are running into the same problem that hung me up for several years. All of our planes are actually already on the AML for the Air/Oil Separator. As mentioned, several members provided me with copies of their 337s, but my IA is… um…, well… “finicky” (not the adjective I would use if we were together) about such things.…[Read more]

I reached out to Joan and asked her if she had any rudder caps to replace the strobes if they were removed and she did not. Any idea on how to get one fabricated? I know I saw a couple at the 13 fly in in Tecumseh. I bet a number of folks would be interested in a cap if we would get them fabricated.

Ray-I had mine overhauled by a guy out on the west coast. He did a really good job if that is a path you want to pursue.
