Ashley Wade replied to the topic Flying a Meyers 145 in the forum Meyers 145 & Micco SP20/SP26 4 years, 6 months ago
Hello Chuck. The 145 is such a cool airplane. You need to send a note to Jamon Pruitt that is a member on the site. Jamon has a bunch of planes including a 145 and a 200. His 145 is listed for sale here on the site in the classifieds. I’ve seen her in person and she’s beautiful. Like most of us, Jamon is an aviation nut. Give him a call and…[Read more]

Hello Thomas and Ed. I will check with Stein and get his thoughts. He still needs to get me an official quote so that I can send him some $ and save on some taxes leaving poor Joe Biden out in the cold. I’ll be happy to share the quote with anyone who needs it. Wish this site supported uploads of photos and .PDFs so that we could all share.…[Read more]

A quick follow up to Mark’s quick follow up post…
Peter, welcome to Meyers. You’ve been active on the forum for only a month and have already bagged a unicorn. Holy $#!+ !!! Your new Meyers family has been agonizing over how to achieve what you have done for years. If you do a search you will see the many different posts of false starts on how…[Read more]

Hi James, I am an old F4 guy myself and I mean old. I have owned my 200D sense Sept 2001. So far I have not had a problem with parts. Many parts are common to other aircraft of that vintage and there is a source for parts that are unique to the 200s from stocks that were acumulated by an idividual who specialized in Meyers. Other parts can…[Read more]

To clarify, each strut requires 3 seals as listed. If you are able to disassemble one strut, you can verify the dimensions prior to ordering.VR, Tom

Andy, I didn’t realize that you were of the Betzoldt lineage. I was already happy to see you in Flip’s plane, but now I’m even more excited that Meyers is embedded into your DNA so deeply. Can’t wait to meet you. Tell Fred that Karen and Ashley say hello.
When I started out in the 200 I had less total time and 200 time than you do now. My…[Read more]

Mark Jensen replied to the topic Source/specs for replacement fuel caps? in the forum Airframe – Meyers 200 4 years, 11 months ago
Mark, Sorry I didn’t see your question before. I have had to replace two caps because the rubber got old and stiff. My mechanic found replacement caps at McFarlane Aviation. He said he will get the part number when he gets back to town. The caps he found required two minor modifications. First, the metal plate on the top has a larger…[Read more]

Hi Brent,
Glad to hear your flight home went well. I am curious about Thomas’s comment on the brakes as my 200D does have differential braking.
The techniques for applying power and rudder for take off also apply to a touch and go. That seems like common sence but I had an early touch and go get my attention.
I reccomend a flapes 20…[Read more]

Hi Bob,
I have owned and enjoyed my Meyers since September 2001. The Meyers 200 is a great airplane. Unfortunately, I am dealing with the FAA on some special issuance issues. I still have my class three medical but at age 77 I have put my aircraft, N2983T, on the market.
Concerning your questions, take off and go around take some getting used…[Read more]

Hi Doug,
I have owned my 200D sence September 2001. They are great airplanes. They are especialy good for cross county flights with good speed and the capability for long legs. I usually fly at altitudes from 7 to 9,000 MSL. My opinion is that my Meyers is very stable, it can be easily trimed hands off, and it handles turbulence very well.…[Read more]

Good afternoon Chris. Karen and I were unable to make Sedona due to Hurricane Laura direct hit. Both planes damaged, OTW extensive 200 will just end up with a new paint job.
